I am on day 2! I am at work today and wasn’t sure how this was all going to work out, but I decided to remind myself “No Excuses!” So I went through my work schedule and scheduled a time to go walking. At 9:30 am I was out the door .. wearing my work clothes and a pair of grey & pink sneakers! It was COLD! So I put on my ski cap and a pair of gloves and off I went!

Two things changed today that were not a factor yesterday. First, I gained a walking buddy. My friend decided she wanted to get motivated too so we decided to walk together. Since I was at work today we did it virtually using Marco Polo. And second, I found an app to help me track the distance I am walking. My long term goal is to be able to complete a 5K in a few months so I wanted to know the distance I was going. I am using “Map My Walk” by Under Armour. It is awesome because it maps the route, how many steps I took, how long it took me, and how far I walked. The only bad thing is I forgot to turn it on until I was already 10 minutes into the walk! HA HA HA! User error!

By the time I got back to my office my arms were frozen solid (note to self wear long sleeves when you plan to go walking) but I was excited to have a big cup of ice water waiting for me as a refreshment! I consider today a success!
