The first night of a new placement is always a little bit exciting, a little bit scary, and a lot of overwhelming for all involved. Tonight a sweet little girl came to stay with our family. She came with a garbage bag that held all of her belongings. We packed up the three girls in the van to go get some basic necessities. Next, you spend a little extra time helping her feel comfortable in a new bed. She likes the glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling and the music on the monitor seems to calm her little spirit. The other two are so excited to have her here it’s hard to go to sleep. Two hours later, mom finally snuggles up in bed, curious what tomorrow will bring. Ending the night with a prayer for this sweet girl and her mama. I don’t know what the future holds, but I hope I can help these two find a way back together.
