One of my favorite parts of foster care is the community. I volunteer with our local organization that collects clothing and equipment for foster families. Yesterday I opened up the Kubby for two families with new placements. While there I picked up bags of clothing for a friend who just found out a previous placement is coming back to her home. My girls and I took the bags to her home and then I helped her sort clothing. On our Facebook group, another foster mom looks for advice and everyone jumps in offering assistance and anything they have to donate. This is what we do in our foster community – we help each other! I love their kids and they love mine and in the meantime, we love total stranger’s kids as if they were our own. We love each other.
