“He is the One who reminds you that you are enough, that there is a place for you here. He meets you in the margins, establishes a measure to reach every heart, gathers and heals and makes whole.”
Inklings Institute

This past week two of my girlfriends expressed their feelings of frustration and how they were feeling overwhelmed. We had made a pact to study together each week. Sometime between Monday & Friday, we would do the studying and then come together on Saturday morning to discuss what we had learned. No matter how hard they tried, they were not finding the time they needed to get through the entire lesson due to interruptions from life and raising a family.

This stayed on my mind a lot over the weekend and I looked at a picture I keep in my room of the Widow holding the mite. Are we giving whatever we have? All of us are at different places in our lives; no two situations are the same. Stop comparing what others are doing and focus on what you are giving.

I am a single mom with two young children, the balance of home and work life is sometimes a fine line. The beginning of covid found me in a time in my life when I was so overwhelmed by the responsibilities I was juggling. In an effort to do everything, I accomplished nothing. Every ball I was juggling, landed on the floor. Trying to do it by myself, led to failure. I am physically unable to do it all and it all hit me in the face. Once I realized that I not only needed to ask for help but that it was okay to ask for help, I was able to make changes to keep my life in order.

This is the same when it comes to our spiritual self. Are we giving all we have? Do we not have the time in the day to accomplish everything we think we should be doing? Sometimes we need to prioritize and ask for help – from Him. If we open ourselves up and lay our shortcomings at His feet; he will make up the difference. He will meet us in the margins.

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow – You are enough exactly where you are. Allow our Savior to help fill where we can’t.
