Been thinking the past few days on a few different situations (both in my life and in the life of those close to me) and today I came to the conclusion that all of these situations could have been avoided if one thing had been considered – KINDNESS.
We live in a world where it is easy to get so wrapped up in what is going on around us that we forget about those around us. It is easy to only see the surface of a person in a situation.
I am blessed to have a friend who is the type of person who tries hard to always include everyone, even those that have personalities that can sometimes be a bit harder to enjoy. To that friend who showed me kindness on a day where everything in my world seemed a bit hard and exhausting, THANK YOU. You have no idea how your actions and words helped me. Thank you for your Christlike example. I consider myself blessed to know you and be uplifted by the example you live in your life.
I had another friend, who unfortunately passed away this past week. One of the things that first came to my mind when thinking of this friend is how she was the first person to genuinely ask how someone was doing. She always wanted to make sure everyone else was okay. May we follow her example and take time to look outside ourselves a bit more and be kind to those who walk next to us.
