Halloween is one of those holidays that is meant for children and as you get older it looses some of it's spark. Well this year it was so much fun as I spent it with Betsy & Abe's family. Their family always comes up with a theme and dresses up for the holiday.

This year's theme was Star Trek. What you may not know is that Abe was a total Trekky in his youth and two of the costumes used where his as a boy! Clark was Captain Kirk & Elinor was Spock. How fun! This year was Cannon's first year trick or treating. Betsy & I took him to a few doors and as the lady gave him a treat and put it in his pumpkin he looked down at it and was shocked that someone was just giving him treats. He was super cute!

Betsy & I were the candy hander outters. I have to say I was shocked at how many older kids go trick or treating. We were tough cookies as we demanded that all the kids had to say "Trick or Treat" in order to get some candy.

The kids received quiet a stash of goodies. One of their family traditions that I thought was great was the bartering and trading that goes on after the kids get home. The kids trade off the candy they do not enjoy as much as the other candy.

This was a fun night! And I was grateful to share it with this fun family!

Recently I have been able to spend time with Takara and let me tell you what a cute little bug she is! She loves animals and the movies Mulan & Horton Hears a Who. She has her own mind and gives the best hugs. She loves cheese and fruit snacks and I am so glad to get to be around her.

The cold weather has hit and as much as I hate being cold all the time I am excited to pull out my fall and winter clothing. I love wearing my sweaters and wearing my socks. I actually hate wearing socks and shoes in general but if I have to wear them, the crazier the better!
